Drain Cleaning & Rooter Service
Keeping drains clean and free-flowing not only makes your life easier, but it also protects your plumbing from harmful clogs and increased water pressure. However, not everyone thinks about their drains until there’s a problem, and you may wonder when it’s time to call a pro for drain cleaning. Here are the top reasons to call Sewer Squad Plumbing & Drain Services and book a drain cleaning appointment.
Clogged Drains & Backups: The longer a clog sits in the pipe, the tougher it is to remove. Call us to schedule regular drain cleaning to keep your pipes clean.
- Drain Odour: If you have foul smells coming out from your drains, it means your drains are due for a thorough cleaning.
- Old Drains: Old drains are often filled with rust and caked with mineral deposits. Keeping them clean is essential to avoiding costly drain repairs in the future.
- Dirty Drains: Dirty drains not only bring foul odours into your home, but they’re also a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. Regular cleaning keeps them smelling good and hygienic.
- Drain Maintenance: Like anything else, regular maintenance ensures your drains are clean and flow freely, and helps you avoid major problems that are costly to repair.
When drains have stubborn clogs, our rooter service powers through virtually any blockage to return your pipes to a like-new state. Call us today and ask about our drain maintenance package or to schedule a drain cleaning session.

Sewer Line Services
Your sewer line must function flawlessly; otherwise, it affects your whole plumbing system. Detecting sewer line issues is difficult because the pipes are buried. Old sewer pipes are prone to cracks, corrosion, and tree root invasion. Here’s how to know if you have issues in your sewer line.
- Low Water Levels: If the water level in the toilet fluctuates, it could mean you have sewer line damage.
- Odour: Odour of raw sewage coming out from the ground or in the house indicates you may need sewer line repair.
- Slow Draining: When the main sewer line becomes clogged, it causes the water from your home to drain more slowly.
- Mould: The buildup of mould and mildew in the home can be a symptom of cracks or leaks in the sewer line.
If you notice any of the above symptoms, don’t wait. Call Sewer Squad Plumbing & Drain Services for a diagnosis.

Sanitary sewer line backing up through the floor drain in the washroom/mechanical room Provided a sea snake through the cleanouts outside found a new replace line downstream to the property line upstream found a damage section of pipe where the plastic pipe connects to the old clay tile pipe
Install and supply 1/2†ball valve with stop and waste 1 year warranty Install customer supply 8†lavatory faucet on the main floor 1 year warranty Install and supply 1/2†outside faucet 1 year warranty Install and supply 1/2†valve in the basement for outside faucet 1 year warranty
Sewer water backing up through the floor drain Provided sea snake inspection of the sewer line and found a stoppage located close to the city property line Customer to call city of Toronto to confirm before any work
Customer would just like a snake for the time being as they plan on doing renovations in the next year and will look into replacing the old cast iron pipes Day 2: Realized that the blockage would be downstream from where the bath tub and kitchen sink meet as the customers told me that when they run the dishwasher, it backs up into the bath tub. Used k-60 through kitchen sink drain as it had a more direct line to blockage. Drop head broke off in drain. Had to unscrew cleanout in basement and retrieve drop head. Used smaller snake to clear the last few inches of pipe that remained “unsnaked†before tying into the stack. Tested for leaks and drainage. Ran bathtub kitchen sink, dishwasher and bathroom sink. No back ups. Instructed to continue using the Bio One until the bottle is all gone.
Upon arrival customer had issue with water backing up in basement washroom. After further inspection I found that floor drain had backed up and releasing merky muddy water. I had explained to customer that a potential collapsed pipe but wanted to apply see snake and possibly locate where issue is happening. After locating we have found that front wall building trap located in carpet section of the basement. We will peel back carpet and tarp off area of work. All customers belongings will be moved. We will break concrete and locate pipe approximately 3’. We will install brand new backwater valve to help protect home from any municipal floods that can occur. Once valve is installed we apply gravel and apply new concrete.
